IN order to commemorate Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day, Bank Woori Saudara (BWS) and Human Initiative (HI) collaborated to carry out an action to fulfill clean water needs by building drilled wells for the community in Citayam Village, Tajurhalang District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
The well construction program is part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program initiated by Bank Woori Saudara together with Human Initiative. The goal is to help people in the village get access to clean water for better and more equitable sanitation.
The symbolic handover of this program was carried out at the Head Office of Bank Woori Saudara, attended by the Corporate Secretary of Bank Woori Saudara Wuryanto together with the Manager Donor Account Representative for Corporate Human Initiative Ade Shinta Dewi.
Wuryanto said, “Hopefully this well construction program will not only provide access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for the people of Citayam Village, but also become a foundation for improving the quality of life in terms of productivity, health, and welfare.”
The clean water fulfillment action program is one of Bank Woori Saudara’s ways to support the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDGs are a movement to pioneer welfare while sustainably caring for the surrounding environment.
The clean water fulfillment action is the 6th TPB which has a mission to ensure the availability and sustainable management of clean water and sanitation for all.
Bank Woori Saudara is committed to continuing to carry out clean water fulfillment action programs in areas that are still lacking in the fulfillment of adequate sanitation and clean water. (RO/Z-1)
