Bank of Greece: Reduced primary surplus in the Budget in the two months of January – February – 2024-07-03 12:13:58

The State Budget presented a reduced primary surplus in the two months of January – February 2024 on a cash basis, compared to the corresponding period of 2023.

More specifically, according to her data Bank of Greecethe primary surplus of the State Budget this year amounted to 2.1 billion euros compared to 3.7 billion euros in the corresponding period last year.

According to iefimerida, the cash result of the central administration presented a surplus of 346 million euros, compared to a surplus of 1.299 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2023.

This development reflects the increase in regular budget revenues which amounted to 10.696 billion euros, from 9.613 billion euros last year. As for regular budget expenditures, they amounted to 9.552 billion euros, up from 9.524 billion euros in the January-February 2023 period.
