In the state of Texas, some Bank of America branches will close in the coming months, according to reports shared by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
The planned branch closures of this financial institution for this year will be much lower than those recorded in 2023.
Banks operating in the country justify the closures by the impact of online banking which has resulted in some branches no longer being profitable.

Bank of America Online
It is known that banking needs have changed and there are more and more transactions that can be carried out from the comfort of home, without the need to go out and visit a branch in person.
Bank of America branch locations that will no longer be serving customers can be verified on the OCC’s website.
OCC Monthly Bulletins
To schedule the closing or opening of a branch, banks must notify this agency approximately 90 days before the date on which they plan to do so.
This is done through an Advance Notice of Branch Closure, a similar mechanism used when relocating a bank commercial office.
The April and May newsletters published by the OCC include information on Bank of America branches that will close in July and August.
