Bank bjb innovates to digitalize village finances (Doc. Bjb)

BANK BJB together with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) and regional governments officially launched the digitalization innovation of village finances through the Village Financial System (Siskeudes) Link, which will be implemented in 18 districts and 1 city in West Java.

This step aims to encourage accountability and transparency in village budget management, as well as simplify digital financial monitoring and reporting.

The signing of this joint commitment was held at Jimmers Mountain Resort, Bogor, with the presence of representatives from the Community and Village Empowerment Service (DPMD) and the West Java Province Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo), as well as the leadership of Bank BJB.

This collaboration includes the implementation of Siskeudes Link which is connected to the API Cash Management System (CMS) from Bank BJB, enabling financial transactions in villages to be carried out digitally, without the involvement of cash.

Head of the Institutional & Wholesale Banking Division of Bank BJB, Isa Anwari, said that through this CMS, village governments can carry out direct transactions safely and easily monitored.

This system is expected to reduce the potential for budget misuse and support efficiency in recording village finances.

As a perception bank, Bank BJB is responsible for managing all village financial transactions.

This support not only provides access to digital banking services for rural communities, but also expands financial inclusion in remote areas.

“With Siskeudes Link, villages in West Java will be more independent in managing their finances and have full control over their budgets,” added Anwari.

This commitment signing event was also accompanied by socialization of the Siskeudes Link features, where village officials were introduced to this new system which is expected to make it easier to record and report village budgets.

BJB Bank CMS enables secure electronic fund transfers, as well as providing accurate data regarding income and expenditure, which is important for decision making.

BJB Bank will also provide training and assistance to village officials to ensure CMS operations run smoothly.

This step is important so that villages can maximize the benefits of non-cash transactions and create a transparent and accountable financial ecosystem.

This initiative is in line with the central government’s vision of encouraging technology-based village financial management.

Head of West Java Province DPMD Dicky Saromi hopes that villages in this province can become a model for implementing non-cash transactions for other regions in Indonesia.

“With this digitalization of finance, villages in West Java can become pioneers of modern, effective and accountable financial governance,” he said.

In the future, Bank BJB plans to introduce other services that support village economic growth, such as micro loans for small and medium businesses.

The hope is that this support will spur local economic development and strengthen Bank BJB’s position as an innovative regional development bank.

With this collaboration, Bank BJB, DPMD and Diskominfo are optimistic that the digitalization of village finances in West Java will create a significant impact on the village economy, making villages more independent and integrated with the modern financial system. #MIA (RO/Z-10)
