Bank Al-Maghrib launches its Prize for Economic and Financial Research

Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) announced on Friday the launch of the first edition of the Bank Al-Maghrib Prize for Economic and Financial Research, setting September 30, 2022 as the deadline for submitting applications.

This Prize, which falls within the framework of the Bank’s CSR policy guidelines, aims to support research in areas related to Bank Al-Maghrib’s missions, to strengthen synergies with the academic world and to contribute to the influence of economic research and the development of the research ecosystem on a national scale, indicates BAM in a press release.

This distinction, which will be awarded every two years, is open to all researchers of Moroccan nationality, aged under 40 and having defended a doctoral thesis in economics or finance in a Moroccan or foreign higher education establishment.

For each edition, two prizes will be awarded to the winners. This is an award for excellence and an incentive award. The prize jury reserves the right to award a favorite prize. The terms of participation are specified in the call for applications published on the BAM website.
