Jakarta

Lola Amaria smack the government. He hopes that the Cinema On the Beach that he initiated will get support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf).

Cinema On the Beach is a sideline film screening folk party Batu Bolong Beach, Canggu, Bali on Saturday (20/8/2022). By installing a large LED screen (8×3 meters) right on the beach, the film Labuan Hati was shown.

“The film that is being screened is titled Labuan Hati. This film is produced by Lola Amaria Production, which was released in April 2017, it has been a long time playing and now we are playing it once more for the public. It’s free,” said Lola right before the screening of the film.

Starring Nadine Chandrawinata, Kelly Tandiono, Ully Triani, and Ramon Y Tungka, the film tries to stun the audience with the underwater view of Komodo Island.

Tells the story of 3 female figures namely Maria (Ully Triani), Bia (Kelly Tandiono), and Indi (Nadine Chandrawinata) who are looking for peace by vacationing in Labuan Bajo, Labuan Hati is expected to trigger the interest of tourists to come.

“A light film regarding tourism. So hopefully those who watch it will finally have an interest in going to Labuan Bajo and many foreign tourists are also here,” said Lola some time ago.

It opened with the appearance of a local local band that had already raised the enthusiasm of tourists to come and gather. At the end, the event was even more broken by closing the party until late at night by presenting a local DJ from Bali.

Lola plans to hold similar events in places that are rarely visited by many people.

“The plan is that I want to make this next year in several destinations, for example in Aceh. Why? Because there are no cinemas there,” said Lola.

“Secondly in Padang, they have good beaches. Then Lake Toba, Banyuwangi have good beaches, Mandalika, Parang Tritis, and Labuan Bajo,” he added.

Not only that, the event which has succeeded in reviving the local MSME economy is also expected to be fully supported by the relevant government. Mainly, the Kemenprekraf led by Sandiaga Uno and the Ministry of Education and Culture.

“Currently it is still completely independent, there is no support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Ministry of Education and Culture. Hopefully following this we can submit a budget for next year,” said Lola.

“Because this is related to tourism, films are also under the Ministry of Education and Culture, education and entertainment. So maybe these two ministries have a role,” he said.
