The Tunisian Ministry of Culture announced the nomination of the film “Banat Intimacy”, directed by Kawthar Ben Hania, starring Hend Sabri, to represent Tunisia at the Academy Awards in the Best Film category.
The ministry confirmed in a press statement that the movie “Banat Olfa” meets all the eligibility criteria as stated in the nomination rules published by the “Oscars” Academy.
The Oscars shortlist will be announced on December 21, 2023.
The 96th Academy Awards ceremony will be held on March 10, 2024 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and will be broadcast live around the world.
The movie “Banat Intimacy” has participated in the official competition of the “76th Cannes” International Film Festival.
The film is starring Hend Sabri, directed and written by Kawthar Ben Hania, and produced by Habib Attia and Nadim Sheikh Rouhah.
