Let’s be precise: the Greens had the second best result in their history. But we failed to achieve our goal – to surpass our 2019 record. I am the face of this decline. After the election, I wondered if I was still the right person to represent my party. The Greens are the force of the future. This must be seen in the face of the president. We must make way for a new generation. In my eyes, politicians serve their party. And not the reverse. There are times when you have to put yourself forward and take responsibility. And there are times when you have to give up your place.
