Those who spoil ballot boxes at polling stations may be tried for treason. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev warned regarding this.

“This is not a child’s game of matches or an innocent prank with brilliant green. This is direct assistance to those degenerates who are shelling our cities today,” wrote Medvedev in his telegram channel. People who commit such crimes must realize that “they might end up in a special regime for 20 years,” the deputy chairman of the Security Council emphasized. He added that such people are traitors and their actions can be qualified under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – high treason in the form of providing any assistance to a foreign state during a war.

In the first days of the presidential elections in Russia, a series of provocations occurred. Several people poured green stuff into ballot boxes and set them on fire. URA.RU found out for what election provocations face a prison sentence.
