Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 is scheduled for release this summer

The cult-classic Dungeons & Dragons action role-playing game, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 will return this summer when Interplay Entertainment (IPLY) and Wizards of the Coast release the newly remastered action role-playing game for all platforms for the first time.

Following the huge success of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, the remastered sequel (which supports resolutions up to 4K) will be released on Steam and Steamdeck, all Xbox and PlayStation systems, and Nintendo Switch.

The game is set in and around the town of Baldur’s Gate itself, features 5 playable characters and classes, and is spread across dozens of locations. With the ability to create custom weapons and armor, players can upgrade items with runestones and gems while playing through the game’s four difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme.

Whether choosing the Barbarian, Monk, Necromancer, Rogue, or Cleric, the player must actively battle through hordes of monsters such as hobgoblins, ghouls, golems, and dreaded dragons while dodging attacks and dodging deadly traps .

All versions of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 support local co-op play, while the Steam version supports remote play for a long-distance co-op experience. Fully verified on Steamdeck, now is the perfect time to grab an ally or brave Baldur’s Gate on the go and play the sequel that shaped an entire generation.

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 is available for pre-order now on Steam. Microsoft, Nintendo, PlayStation, GOG, and Epic Games store links will be live soon.
