Baldur’s Gate 3 players on Xbox want a refund
« The game can’t even save your progress properly », said the original posterreferring to cloud backup issues.
« Larian Studios owes us some sort of compensation, if not a full refund. said another player in a now-deleted comment.
Although some disagreed with this opinion, other users did not seem to find his statement unreasonable. One of them said: “ asking for a full refund is not too much for anyone who has had a lot of problems ».
BG3 is not the first game to suffer from the cloud save issue. Indeed, Starfield and Football Manager players have also been faced with cloud backup issues.

But BG3 players on Xbox feel wronged, and they’re making it known quite loudly on Twitter as well.
In addition to the bug with cloud saves, the cross-save feature is also causing problems for players. They face game crashes unless players unlink their Larian account.
Starfield might be a top 10 game of all time for me, but only if @bethesda or @Xbox can fix the game save error. I haven’t been able to save my game in 30 hours and all but my auto save file have been deleted, and that only saves 20% of the time

With the issue known, Xbox users were hoping that a patch would provide a solution, but the issues still persist.
For now, the developers at BG3 and Microsoft have proposed a temporary solution and say they are working on a solution. Xbox players will have to wait to see when this happens, as there is no date set yet for the issue to be resolved.
