Unloved Cleric, but useful for speedruns

While this class is the least chosen by gamers around the world, since the game’s release on PC, it turns out to be of great use for speedrunners. Yes, many are abandoning this class to support spells for allies and weakening enemies, opting in particular for the formidable fighter with high charisma that is the paladin or the sorcerer with devastating spells. Nevertheless, the cleric is not shelved for the speedrunners who use all possible means to complete the game as quickly as possible. If you don’t want to be spoiled, it’s time to stop reading now!

In the relentless quest to complete Baldur’s Gate 3 quickly, Shadowheart proved to be a crucial character. While playing Gale, a very amazing action must be performed to reach Act 2 at full speed, and complete the game. We must kill the poor Shadowheartput his body in a chest before burning it and throwing it into the background… This may seem unlikely, but it is indeed a speedrun strategy, as explained by the person who achieved this feat :

We start by setting the box on fire, giving it the Burning status and dealing one damage tick. Using the nodefling, we launch Shadowheart directly into the final room of Act 2. The box is thrown at such speed that it looks like it is teleporting when in reality it is going so fast that ‘we don’t even see it. Then the burn effect triggers and deals damage to the crate once more. The crate shatters and its contents come out: in this case, a dead Shadowheart, which is now in the final area of Act 2 and can trigger the final scene. Teleporting the scene means that Gale can now participate in that scene, and since Shadowheart is dead and unable to speak, it’s Gale who does the talking, even though he’s on the other end of the map. This means he can detonate his orb on the other side of the map, ending the game without even seeing the Absolute.
