Balbino “Balbineitor” Fuenmayor joined La Maquinaria Indígena

On day 12 of Caribes de Anzoátegui’s training sessions, prior to the 2024-2025 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), at the Jesús Rizales stadium in the Guanta municipality, slugger Balbino “Balbineitor” Fuenmayor joined.

The native of Güigüe, Carabobo state, has just participated in the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) with Acereros de Monclova.

Eduardo Medina, a member of the Caribes press department, indicated that the first baseman played 66 games in the LMB, drove in 54 runs and scored 35 times. He had 83 hits, 12 doubles and 13 home runs, leaving a batting average of .346 and a slugging percentage of .571.

History in Mexico

For Fuenmayor it was a historic campaign in Aztec lands, where he managed to hit his 100th home run in said league, on June 22, 2024 against the deliveries of Venezuelan Henry Centeno.

The man from Carabob shared with Lino Connell on his journey through Monclova and took the opportunity to talk about the value of having a hitting coach with Connell’s experience and wisdom.

Simulated duel

During the day, a simulated game was held with the participation of five pitchers from the Indigenous Machinery: Ricard Guasch, Leonard Garcia, Enderjer Sifontes, Saul Terán and Oswald Mori.
