Resident Evil RE:4 is setting an all-time record. On the second day of release, it recorded the highest number of concurrent users on Steam, exceeding 168,000, among all series.

The number of visitors to Resident Evil RE:4 recorded 140,000 on the 24th, the first day of release, and jumped to 168,000 on the 15th. Since the 26th is also a good weekend to enjoy games, it is expected that the number of concurrent users will break the record.

This is the highest number ever in the series. Resident Evil RE: 2, released in January 2019, recorded the maximum number of concurrent users on Steam of 74,227, and Resident Evil RE: 4 more than doubled this. Resident Evil Village, which caused the ‘eldest sister’ boom, also recorded the highest number of 106,631, falling short of Resident Evil RE:4. Resident Evil RE: 3, which did not cause a great sensation, barely exceeded 60,000 people.

Steam user evaluation is also maintaining ‘overwhelmingly positive (96% positive)’ with more than 11,500 cases running. Users who left favorable reviews praised it, such as ‘Reminds me of past memories’, ‘Some of the childish original productions have been replaced’, ‘Reservation for this year’s GOTY’, and ‘I got goosebumps while playing’. However, there are a significant number of users suffering from fatal D3D crash errors, and improvement is required.

Resident Evil RE:4 can be purchased for 72,700 won, and Korean language is officially supported.
