Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI) has a financing line worth 600 billion kwanzas, intended for granting credit to the national economy, said yesterday, in Luanda, the president of the executive committee (PCE) of the banking institution, Luís Lélis
The PCE, who spoke at the end of the ceremony that marked BAI’s accession to the Made in Angola seal, said that the amount will be divided to grant to companies and individuals, thus appealing to families and businesspeople to present projects that will be analyzed , according to individual and execution capacity.
“We will try to grant credits with some speed, analyzing projects according to the individual capacity and execution, both of companies and families”, he stressed. On the other hand, according to Angop, he highlighted BAI’s adherence to the Made in Angola seal, which represents the commitment to supporting and valuing national production and a strong commitment to Angola’s economic growth.
“The act of accession represents the commitment to the country, at a time when we are experiencing complex challenges from an exchange rate perspective”, he highlighted. He appealed, on the other hand, to Angolan businesspeople and entrepreneurs to adhere to certification, because, in addition to promoting the national economy, it becomes a source of pride to be made in the country. “The certificate obliges us to work, both with entrepreneurs, individuals and companies, in order to identify and remove the barriers that make it more difficult to grant credit to the economy”, he said.
The Made in Angola seal is a government initiative to promote products and services with high National Added Value (VAN), which reinforces the need to comply with strict quality criteria. The PCA of the National Institute of Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), João Nkosi, said, on the occasion, that, by adhering to the Made in Angola seal, BAI recognizes the importance of promoting and valuing national production and that this is another step towards the development of the economy, through national production and employment in Angola, according to a press release from the bank to which OPAÍS had access.
BAI’s executive administrator, Juvelino Domingos, stated that “BAI’s adherence to this program is a step towards strengthening the national economy”, having recognized that “the Made in Angola seal constitutes a catalyst for a new era of responsibility corporate and sustainable development in Angola”. This partnership between BAI and INAPEM shows the value of this successful strategic alliance between the State and the private sector to create a robust and sustainable ecosystem for economic growth.
