Manama: BYD in Bahrain The company launched electric cars. Fakhru Motors, a sister company of Abdullah Yusuf Fakhru & Sons, the sole agent of the company in Bahrain, launched the new electric vehicle in Bahrain.
Commerce and Industry Minister Abdullah Adil Fakhru launched the vehicle at a function held at Gulf Hotel. Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain Rochi, Embassy Trade Counselor Li Pawan, B.Y.D. Company Middle East Director A.D. Huang, Abdullah Yusuf Fakhru & Sons Company Chairman Isam Abdullah Fakhru and Fakhru Motors Director Muhammad Adil Fakhru were also present on the occasion.
Two models ‘Auto Three’ and ‘Han’ with front pulling machine were launched. These cars have a five-star European Authority Safe Vehicle status in the category of new generation cars. Company spokespersons said that the vehicle has been designed keeping the safety of the passengers in mind.
The UN concluded in the UAE the other day. The Fakhru Group stated that the new electric cars are coming to the market as a sustainable energy plan shortly after King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa announced the ‘Bahrain Blue Print’ to achieve zero carbon emissions at the International Climate Change Summit.
The company claims that it can achieve three things: reducing carbon emissions, combating climate change, and creating sustainable opportunities for the new green economy. Boo Print aims to reduce Bahrain’s carbon emissions by 30 percent by 2035, company spokespersons said.
