Ducati Lenovo RACER Francesco Bagnaia is determined to improve his performance in the 16th MotoGP round at the Motegi Circuit, Japan, this weekend.
“We will work hard to increase our competitiveness in the early stages of the race, which is the point where we struggled a little last week. I am ready and excited to return to the track,” said Bagnaia, quoted from Ducati’s official statement, Thursday (3/ 10).
The two-time world champion is 21 points behind the leader of this season’s standings, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing). The increase in competitiveness that Bagnaia highlighted will be an effort to reduce the difference in points in the MotoGP world championship standings.

“Japan is one of my favorite destinations, so I am very happy to be able to race here this weekend,” said the racer who is familiarly called Pecco.
“Compared to Indonesia, the weather and track conditions will be very different, and there is also the possibility of rain, so it is important to be prepared
face any situation,” he added.
On the other hand, Bagnaia’s teammate, Enea Bastianini, who is currently in third place in the standings, is determined to bounce back in Japan
after a crash last week that dashed his hopes of securing a podium at Mandalika.

The Italian, who has not raced in Japan since 2022, will be eager to be one of the main contenders this weekend.
“It’s been two years since I last raced in Japan, but I’ve always liked the Motegi track, and lately, we’ve been fast at almost every circuit,” said Bastianini.
“The gap in the championship is growing, but mathematically it is still possible. It is important to stay focused in the final races

The Japanese GP will start on Friday (4/10) with practice sessions at 08.45 WIB and 13.00 WIB.
On Saturday (5/10), the second free practice session started at 08.10 WIB, followed by a qualifying session at 08.50 WIB, and the Sprint Race at 13.00 WIB.
