Báez Sosa case: the 10 main sentences left on the first day of allegations

The first day of the allegations for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa took place this Wednesday. In it, the prosecutors asked that the eight accused of murdering him be sentenced to life imprisonment as co-perpetrators of the crime.

This Thursday it will be the turn of the defense lawyer, Hugo Tomei, who will seek to continue with his strategy used in the oral debate. It consisted of demonstrating that the crime was in the context of a “homicide in a fight or assault”, which according to article 95 of the Criminal Code provides for a sentence of between 2 to 6 years.

On the other hand, the defendants and the victim’s parents are expected to give their last words. Once the arguments are finalized, the court will announce the date of the sentence, which is expected to be January 30 or 31.
