Dong-A Socio Group affiliates, including Choi Ho-jin, vice chairman of Dong-A Pharmaceutical, and Baek Sang-hwan, president, announced on the 14th that they carried out executive promotions on the 1st.
Former Dong-A Pharmaceutical CEO Choi Ho-jin was promoted to vice chairman.
Vice Chairman Choi majored in business administration at Sogang University, and was promoted to Donghae Pharmaceutical’s team leader in 2010, communication chief in 2012, and marketing director in 2016.
Baek Sang-hwan, former head of the Business Planning Office, who was promoted to president following Vice Chairman Choi, was appointed CEO.
Baek graduated from the Department of Western History at Korea University, and served as Dong-A Pharmaceuticals Management Planning Team Leader in 2016, Management Planning Director in 2018, and Dong-A Socio Holdings Management Planning Director in 2021.
In addition, former CEO Joong-Sik Keum of Yongma Logis, a logistics subsidiary of Dong-A Socio Group, was promoted to vice chairman.
Vice Chairman Geum majored in Logistics at Myongji University Graduate School. Afterwards, he joined Dong-A Pharmaceutical in 1980, was promoted to Yongma Logis sales manager in 2015, and took the position of CEO from 2016.
Vice Chairman Geum’s successor will be CEO Lee Jong-cheol. Through this reshuffle, President Lee Jong-cheol was promoted from the head of sales division at Yongma Logis. After graduating from the Department of Social Welfare at Chung-Ang University, CEO Lee served as the manager of Dong-A ST’s Gyeonggi 1 branch in 2013, the manager of Yongma Logis’ operational support headquarters in 2015, and the manager of sales headquarters in 2016.
DA Information, which is in charge of IT services for Dong-A Socio Group, also promoted its president. President Seong-geun Lee majored in business administration at Sogang University, and worked at Samil Accounting Firm in 1995 before serving as the head of the Business Planning Office at Dong-A Pharmaceutical in 2013. Since then, he has served as the head of Dong-A ST’s business management division and distribution management office in 2018, and the head of Dong-A ST’s business management division and business planning office in 2019.
