Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship: Bronze for India

Dubai: Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship wins first medal in history India. India got the bronze following losing to China in the semi-final. Chinese victory was 2-3.

In men’s singles, Malayali star H.S. Pranoy 13-21, 15-21 Lee Lan Seot and Olympian PV in women’s singles. Sindhu beat Gao Fang Jie 9-21, 21-16, 18-21 and Ishaan Bhatnagar in mixed doubles. – Tanisha Crasto team lost to Jiang Sen Bang-Wei Ya Xin team 17-21, 13-21. India’s entry to the finals was missed out.

In men’s doubles, Dhruv Kapila-Chirag Shetty teamed up with He Ji Ting-Ju Hao Do. Ng Jotye 21-19, 21-19 in women’s Malayali Teresa Joly-Gayatri Gopi Chand alliance defeated Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning team 21-18, 13-21, 21-19 and 2- 3.
