2023-05-12 19:09:29

Bad weather will be concentrated this weekend in France, the Alps, the western Balkans and much of Italy. The depression which is the origin, will develop this Sunday more on the north of Italy by sending us on its north side a continental air coming from the north of Germany and Poland where the temperatures are close to values between 20 and 24º.

The weather will therefore be much better this Saturday with a very sunny morning but also the development of large cumulus clouds, especially south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow.

Showers or even thunderstorms are still expected during the followingnoon in Limburg, Liège, Hainaut, Namur and Luxembourg.

It will be milder with highs rising between 21 and 23º in the plain, between 19 and 21º at the sea and between 15 and 19º in the Ardennes.

The wind will blow from north to northeast with peaks of 30 to 50 km / h but under the strongest showers or thunderstorms it can reach 65 to 85 km / h.

The following night will be calmer and starry with minimums of 9 to 14º in the plains and between 1 and 9º in the Ardennes.

Sunday :

The north to northeast current will maintain pleasant and sunny weather in the morning with new cumulus budding during the day but without the onset of showers.

However, it might be much cloudier on the sea side where the north wind will keep the temperature between 10 and 15º while elsewhere we can still enjoy the mildness with maximums between 16 and 20º south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow and between 20 and 23º in the plain.

Monday :

As the Italian depression will move towards Poland, the current here will tend to veer more towards the north and the northwest, bringing the cooler and more humid air present on the North Sea to our country.

Low clouds will cover the west of the country in the morning but will break up somewhat in the interior of the country, giving however some good showers in places.

We will already lose a few degrees, the maximums returning between 13 and 18º.

Mardi :

A cold front will cross the country from north to south giving some more rain or showers while being preceded in the morning by clearings in the south-east and followed in the followingnoon by a more variable sky and clearings in the north -west of the country.

The north to northeast wind will also be felt with peaks of 45 to 65 km / h and temperatures will block the followingnoon between 10 and 16º.

Wednesday :

The high pressure arriving over the British Isles will maintain the cool north to northeast flow on its eastern flank but will tend to gradually dry out the atmosphere with the arrival of sunny spells from the Netherlands. The temperatures will however remain very low for the season with the same values as the day before.

Also note the persistence of the wind which will blow unpleasantly with peaks of 50 to 70 km/h.

Evolution for the weekend and the following weekend:

The anticyclonic zone will move from the British Isles to the North Sea and then Scandinavia which will bring increasingly dry continental air to our regions with lots of sunshine but daytime temperatures which will initially still remain between 12 and 19º but which will rise during the weekend between 14 and 21º.

Probable trend for the period from May 22 to May 25:

It will continue to be mild for the season with highs of 16 to 20º in the Ardennes and the coast and between 20 and 23º in lowland regions.

It will be generally dry except perhaps on Wednesday May 24 when the forecast models predict a risk of rain or showers over the country.
