Backbone, a well-known mobile controller manufacturer, announced that it has cooperated with Sony PlayStation to launch a PS version of the special version of the handle “Backbone One – PlayStation Edition”, allowing players to play PS console games directly on the iPhone through streaming.
This iPhone control handle is authorized by Sony. The appearance refers to the white and black two-color design of the PS5 DualSense wireless controller, and with the △○□⨉ buttons familiar to PS players, the built-in UI interface is also similar to the PS5 host. Connect the iPhone and use the “PS Remote Play” APP to play PS4 and PS5 games on the iPhone by streaming.
In addition, this PS special handle has no battery itself, and is mainly powered by the mobile phone; but the handle also has a Lightning port design, which can charge the mobile phone while playing. With a 3.5mm headphone jack, it is also easy to use general headphones.

In terms of support for iPhone games, almost all games in the App Store that support controllers are applicable. The official also listed several popular games including “Genshin Impact”, “Decisive Moment Mobile” and “Fantasian”, which can be played smoothly.
The PS version of the special handle is expected to be the first to launch in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. A launch schedule for other countries has yet to be determined.
Although it is a major manufacturer of mobile phone control handles, this is not the first time that Backbone has cooperated with home console manufacturers. The Backbone One control handle launched last year mainly cooperates with Microsoft Xbox. It also has a dedicated APP and supports players to use XGP services, Play Xbox games from the cloud. Backbone also plans to launch a control handle that supports Android phones, but it has not yet determined whether it has built-in support for PS or Xbox consoles.
