AFTER going through various challenging journeys, Peraukertas is back with a new and exciting spirit. After leaving Universal Music
Indonesia in 2020 and also leaving their last label Firefly Records (Musica Studios), this time they decided to release their work independently again, sailing with Sweetspot Records Indonesia again.
Having been on and off the label twice did not discourage them, but instead strengthened their determination to continue working.
“We have an independent label actually, it’s just that we’re happy sometimes we want a new atmosphere and we want to add friends, links and knowledge”, said Candra Kim, one of the driving forces behind this band, Friday (30/8).
For the past eight years, Peraukertas has been known for its hard rock vibes, deep minor guitar riffs, and fierce distortion. However, they are proud to introduce a new vibe that they call Peraukertas 2.0.
Their latest single, “Save Me From This Hell”, was chosen as the opening of this new era, and will be followed by a long-awaited EP. In their latest work, Peraukertas shows a more “polite” side with more use of major chord progressions, although motivational themes remain the mainstay of their lyrics.

In addition, for the first time, the band will include many love-themed songs that are fresh and different from their previous works.
Produced by Adam Imaduddin, who is believed to be able to bring a fresh new nuance, Peraukertas 2.0 is ready to sail further. Adam himself is active as a field production expert with Barasuara, Lomba Ajaib, PPC Production, and several band and solo concerts. He also helped the Iga Massardi project, Martials in the guitar division during the performance. Interestingly, from all the songs that have been drafted, the lyrics accidentally become a mix of English and Indonesian.
“So, we decided to make this EP with the mixed lyrics. Who knows, it might reach friends outside Indonesia, because there are English lyrics, hahaha at least it could be a plus point that the lyrics can be understood there,” said Candra Kim, the band’s vocalist.

With a track record of around 25 songs that are mostly hard rock, Peraukertas often performs non-stop, pumping up adrenaline on stage without a break. Initially, the desire
making a more relaxed song to give them a break during their gigs was the beginning of the concept of Peraukertas 2.0. However, it turned out that the comfort with this new nuance made them not only stop at one song, but produced six similar songs which were then made into one EP.
For those who are curious about Peraukertas 2.0, “Save Me From This Hell” can now be enjoyed on all digital music platforms.
