A few hours before this return to class, many parents are struggling to understand the guidelines in the event of an outbreak or symptoms.

Several citizens interviewed by our journalist did not seem to know under what circumstances they should have their child tested.

According to public health, a child who has a fever, who loses the sense of taste and smell, who has a cough or a sore throat, should be tested.

At the same time, his entire family bubble must isolate itself. If the first test is negative, the child must wait 24 to 36 hours before undergoing a second one. If the second is also negative, the isolation can end for the whole family.

It is important to specify that a simple runny nose does not require isolation, even if many parents believe the opposite.
