Babben Larsson’s reaction to double seasons of Best in Test

Last spring, the first season of “Bäst i test” premiered after the move from SVT to TV4, and already now the program is back with a new season. For Babben Larsson, it will be the ninth in a row, but double seasons in one year is new for her as well.

– It felt overwhelming at first, I thought “oh, are we going to do double seasons?”. But once you’re up and running and once it’s done, Babben says.

And you can feel it, she says.

– It will be twice as much work, take twice as long of the summer to record. The first year of dual seasons was very intense. But if we keep at it, we’ll know how to put it up next time. It was full speed in the TV factory when this was going to be manufactured, I can say, she says.

Something that she hardly felt, however, is the channel change, apart from the commercial breaks.

– Otherwise, it’s just as usual for us, and it’s the same feeling externally as well, I feel.

As long as Babben wants to continue with Best in Test

Together with David Sundin, she has led the program since 2017, and if Babben gets to decide, it will be a couple more years.

– As long as it’s fun and as long as it lasts, and as long as we get. We don’t know that. The channel can decide and evaluate that. As long as I think it’s fun, I’ll stick around for a while longer, says Babben.

Who is sad first? None as it seems now.

– I don’t think any of us get tired in the first place. It’s one of the most fun things you can do when you work in television – and on top of that, I’m sitting at home on the couch laughing when I watch it. You have fun all the time, she says.

In the autumn season, we see Lotta Engberg, Erik Stern, Nour El Refai, Marie Agerhäll and Torbjörn Averås Skorup take their place on the panel. When the panels are installed, both Babben and David have a hand or two in the game, she explains. And this time she is more than satisfied.

– This season is absolutely in the top three, absolutely high, she notes.

The fall season of Best in Test premieres tonight at 8 p.m.
