Babar Azam is ahead of all the batsmen in the world in T20 cricket

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s white ball team, became the batsman who scored the most T20 runs this year.

Babar Azam scored an unbeaten 64 runs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday, with which he became the highest T20 run-scorer this year.

This year, Babar Azam’s total number of runs has reached 942, while England’s Alex Hales has scored 895 runs in the year so far.

Australia’s Marcus Stoins is third with 809 runs.

The second leading run scorer for Pakistan this year is Shoaib Malik who has scored 703 runs so far in 2020 while Mohammad Hafeez has scored 684 runs.

Babar Azam has scored 8 fifties and one century so far this year. Thus, he is also on the first position in this list with nine fifty plus scores.

The Pakistan white ball team captain is also the batsman who hit the most fours in the T20s this year.

He has hit 108 fours so far this year, while no other player has hit 100 fours.

It should be noted that last year also, Babar Azam was the highest run-scoring batsman in T20 matches and he scored 1607 runs in 39 innings.

Surprisingly, the most T20 wickets are also held by a Pakistani this year and Shaheen Shah Afridi tops the list with 39 wickets.
