“Baalbek-Hermel Bloc”: Considering the national interest as a major priority in order to miss opportunities for the enemies – Al-Binaa Newspaper

The Baalbek-Hermel Parliamentary Bloc considered that “the presidential election is extremely important for Lebanon’s crossing to the shore of safety, and that dialogue between the various Lebanese parties is the way to achieve this election, which leads to the formation of a government that works to preserve stability and civil peace, and to secure the interests of the Lebanese.”
In a statement, the bloc condemned, following its periodic meeting in its office in Baalbek, headed by Representative Dr. Hussein al-Haj Hassan, “the aggressive policy of the White House administration and its punitive measures imposed on Lebanon and its people, in order to subject this country to what it wants in order to achieve the Zionist goals that are always working to weaken Lebanon and dismantle its elements of power.”
He called on “partners in the homeland not to respond to any external, international and regional dictates,” stressing “the need for unity, and considering the national interest as a major priority in order to miss opportunities for the enemies of Lebanon.”
He also called on those concerned in the state “to give the living requirements, especially medicine and food, the required attention, and to quickly limit manipulation of the dollar exchange rate, which is reflected in an insane rise in the prices of basic materials that citizens need daily,” stressing “the need to protect the Lebanese workforce from unfair competition.” And the need to monitor the work and policies of the UNHCR and suspected donors.”
He called on “those concerned in the state and the Ministry of Energy and Water to extricate Lebanon from the catastrophe of darkness, and the need to improve fair nutrition in the electric current to all regions, especially the Baalbek-Hermel governorate.”
And stressing “the need for the security services concerned to continue their work to maintain security and stability,” he drew the attention of these agencies and the judiciary “to the necessity of strict prosecution and accountability, especially for those who wreak corruption, vandalism, and crime, and deterrent punishment once morest them.”
The bloc extended its “highest greetings and blessings to the souls of the two martyrs, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Hajj Abi Mahdi Al-Muhandis, on the occasion of the third anniversary of their martyrdom and their companions,” and saw “their great sacrifices in pushing for the liberation of the nation and its sanctities on the path to the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem,” calling “to follow in their footsteps and in the footsteps of all martyrs with loyalty.” For Palestine, which is exposed today to the most heinous and barbaric attacks.”
