Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that any attempts by Armenia to include the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) in the text of the peace agreement with Baku are counterproductive. He said this during the international conference “Formation of the geopolitics of Greater Eurasia: from the past to the present and future” in the city of Shusha, the agency reports. Azertag.
Mr. Aliyev said that Azerbaijan handed over four draft peace agreements to Armenia more than a month ago. According to the President of Azerbaijan, a week ago Armenia presented its commentary on the peace treaty, which contained territorial claims once morest Baku and was mentioned by the NKR.
Mr. Aliyev expressed hope that Armenia would show constructiveness in the negotiation process with Azerbaijan. If this does not happen, Baku will not take any measures other than diplomatic ones, the President stressed. “That’s enough for us. Therefore, there will be no peace, no communication, and they will be isolated once more,” he added.
