Azad Kashmir High Court canceled the registration of PTI, PML-N and PPP

The Azad Kashmir High Court declared the registration of all political parties including PML-N, PTI and People’s Party as unconstitutional and illegal and canceled all the notices issued to local councillors.

The Azad Kashmir High Court in its judgment held that the political parties of Azad Kashmir are not registered under the law and hence they do not have the power to issue notices to any person. In its judgment, the Azad Kashmir High Court declared that the political parties violated the Registration Act.

The Supreme Court also expressed strong anger on the Election Commission and said that illegal registration should not be done in the future because there is no concept of interim registration in the law of Azad Kashmir, the Election Commission could not register any political party without the constitution.

It should be noted that the Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir had given provisional registration to the political parties, various writs were filed in the High Court in which it was held that the political parties cannot issue notices to the councillors.

Muslim League (N), Tehreek-e-Insaf and People’s Party had issued notices to many councilors for violating party discipline in the election of chairman district council and others after the local body elections, on which the affected councilor approached the Azad Kashmir High Court. what was
