AZ Under 13 – Ajax 3-1 (1-0)
AZ Under 13 recorded a great home victory over competitor Ajax on Saturday. The Amsterdam team was defeated 3-1 at their own AFAS Training Complex.
Immediately from the first whistle, the home team took the initiative and AZ put a lot of pressure on Ajax. The first chance was for Musabe Iliyas Abdusalam. However, the winger shot just over following a good individual action. Moments later, Iliyas Abdusalam scored the opening goal. Musie Mesfun broke through on the flank, rounded the Ajax goalkeeper, kept an overview and served his teammate, following which Iliyas Abdusalam shot the ball into an empty goal: 1-0.
Even before half time, the Alkmaarders created enough opportunities, but the home team failed to further expand the score. For example, a bet from Dinar Ait Errami was narrowly saved by Ajax goalie Mees Bosma and shortly followingwards the AZ striker hit the post. So it remained 1-0 at halftime.
In the second act the home team did manage to double the score. A shot by Iliyas Abdusalam went under goalkeeper Bosma towards the goal and Mesfun then tapped the ball in on the line for 2-0. A little later the third Alkmaar goal also fell. Midfielder Hatim Elfargoussi came one-on-one with the Ajax closing post and finished nicely with a placed shot on the edge of the sixteen-meter area.
The visitors managed to get something back from a corner through Cosmo Veken: 3-1. Partly thanks to two good defensive actions by Dylan Nsemi and a fantastic save by AZ goalkeeper Jason Has, the Amsterdam team was unable to score and the game ended 3-1.
