New Delhi: Devotees from within and outside the country have offered various items to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. A 108 feet long sandalwood lamp, a bell weighing 2100 kg, a large lamp weighing 1100 kg, a gold hammer, a lock and key regarding ten feet high, and a large clock that can see the time of eight kingdoms together are the different displays that have reached the Ram temple in Ayodhya so far.

The 108 feet tall Chandanathiri came from Vadodara in Gujarat. Weight is 3610 kg. It was built in six months. This sandalwood is made in an environment friendly manner. Viha Bharwat, a native of Vadodara, who made the sandalwood, told PTI that it will spread its fragrance for one and a half months. 376 kg of chiratta, 190 kg of ghee, 1,470 kg of dung and 420 kg of other natural materials are used to make this sandalwood. He said that it will be half the height of Delhi’s Qutab Minar. On January 18, this huge sandalwood procession will reach Ayodhya.

A gold-plated perumbara is also arriving from Gujarat for the Ram temple. A large lock and key, a gigantic bell and a large clock came from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Ram Halwa weighing 7,000 kg from Nagpur also reached Ayodhya. 200 kg of laddu reaches Ayodhya from Mathura. Tirupati Tirumala Kshetra Devaswom has announced that one lakh ladus will be distributed in Ayodhya on the day of Pratishtha. A saree printed with the image of Lord Rama, Sita and the Rama temple in Ayodhya and a diamond necklace in the shape of the Rama temple are arriving in Ayodhya from Surat, Gujarat. The necklace is made with 5,000 American diamonds.

More than 3,000 pilgrims arrived in Ayodhya from Janakpur, Nepal, which is believed to be the birthplace of Sita. More than 30 vehicles carrying silver sandals, jewelery and clothes from Janakpur are reaching Ayodhya this week. The Sri Lankan devotee arrived in Ayodhya with a different gift from Ashokavanam in Lanka, where Sita is believed to have been abducted by Ravana in the Ramayana. His guide to the Ram Temple was a rock from the Ashoka forest. They built them in the hope that their idols would become part of the temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the Pranapratishta ceremony to be held at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
