THE sad news surrounding the band Sore following the death of its vocalist, Ade Paloh, on Tuesday (19/3) left a deep impression on the people closest to him. Ade’s departure was deeply felt by his bandmate, Awan Garnida. Sore, formed by Awan (bass, vocals), Ade (vocals, guitar), Bemby Gusti (drums, percussion, vocals), Reza Dwiputranto (guitar, vocals), and Ramondo Gascaro (piano, keyboard, guitar, vocals). After Mondo and Reza (Eca) left, Sore was continued by three other names.

The band last released a full studio album in February 2023, entitled Quo Vadis, Sore?. This album is also the last album that Ade worked on with Awan and Bemby. For Awan, Ade is one of the best writers and songwriters in Indonesia.

“He is one of the best songwriters that Indonesia has. You can see the works and messages contained in the songs, the lyrics, so I really miss it. It’s not just me, many of my musician friends also feel lost. “Indonesia also lost one of its nation’s sons,” said Awan when met at the Ade Paloh funeral home in the Bona Indah area, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Tuesday (19/3).

“His voice and message are always in our minds, even though Ade is no longer there. “That spirit is still continuing until we don’t know when we can’t determine,” continued Awan.

Awan said that before he died, Ade had many activities, including things outside of music. In the last election, he also ran as a legislative candidate. Called Awan, Ade also has a history of stomach acid.

“Hopefully khusnul khotimah,” prayed Awan.
