In November 2021, she was in an activity room with a one-year-old boy, whom she allegedly slapped twice on the back of the head. Later that day, she threw an unknown three-year-old boy to the ground. Five days later, she roughly wiped a three-year-old boy’s face with a towel. Xiuwei was arrested in January 2021 and admitted to assaulting the one-year-old boy following watching the footage of the incident.
Xiuwei’s defense argued that she was no longer able to take care of children following the incident and was working part-time at a COVID-19 testing center. They also suggested that the defendant’s actions were not the most serious and that Tongleju had a bad culture. Additionally, they noted that Xiuwei loved the children and would buy them gifts at her own expense. The defense asserted that the defendant’s nature was not bad and that she committed the crime on a whim.

During this period, the defendant suddenly wiped F’s face roughly with a towel for regarding 1 second, and F cried and walked to the door. The defendant was finally arrested on January 7 last year and admitted to assaulting R following watching the relevant incident footage.
The defense pleaded that the unmarried defendant was no longer able to take care of children following the incident, and worked part-time in a new crown pneumonia testing center with a monthly income of regarding 15,000 Hong Kong dollars. However, he recently lost his job due to the slowdown of the epidemic. The defense pointed out that the three assaults were short-lived, the defendant used little force, and may have been excessively rude, but it was not the most serious incident of its kind.
