Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj al-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, revealed the details of the Ministry of Health’s warning regarding the presence of the Corona virus; Even with the low numbers of infections, the risk of cholera.
Taj El-Din said, during a telephone conversation with the media, Azza Mustafa, on the “Tahrir Hall” program broadcast on the “Sada El-Balad” channel, that the number of injuries in Egypt is still very low. He explained that respiratory viruses are very numerous and exist; Noting that there is monitoring of existing viruses; In conclusion, their clinical manifestations are similar (sneezing – runny nose – cold), stressing that in many cases there is difficulty in differentiating between corona infection and other infectious viruses; When the matter is mixed, the infected person can perform a PCR test to find out the type of infection he has.
He stressed that we still need to take precautionary measures, and regarding the syncytial virus, he stressed that it is largely present in children due to their mixing in more than one place, including school buses and classrooms; Thus, the child can transmit the infection to the father, mother, and many family members.
He pointed out that it is our duty to all limit the spread of infectious viruses by adhering to precautionary measures, and pointed out that respiratory viruses have complications that increase in infants, adults over 65 years of age, and those with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.
Regarding the spread of cholera in several countries, he stressed that Egypt has not recorded any infection with this disease that exists in the world, which has not ended, either, pointing out that this disease spreads in places where there is pollution in water and food, as well as wars, stressing that this The disease is very contagious and may cause severe diarrhea; And if the patient does not take appropriate treatment for this disease, it may lead to death.
