The AvtoVAZ plant resumed the production of cars. As the press service of the company reported on June 8, the first Lada Granta Classic rolled off the assembly line.

“The model was developed in order to ensure the maximum possible localization of the car, eliminating the impact of a shortage of imported components,” the press release says.

The concern has not yet named the cost of new cars, but it is noted that the model “will become the most affordable new passenger car.” The equipment will be available in sedan, liftback, station wagon bodies.

The car is equipped with a 90 hp engine. With. paired with a manual transmission. Heating and electric mirrors were added to the car, which were previously only characteristic of higher versions. In addition, the Classic’22 package includes power windows for the front doors, electric power steering, daytime running lights, ISOFIX child seat mounts, an on-board computer, four-speaker audio preparation, central locking, 14-inch steel wheel rims with decorative caps.

In May, the government of the Russian Federation approved a decree that simplifies the requirements for certification of cars in Russia, including the allowed production of cars of all environmental classes – from Euro 0 to Euro 5, as well as not equipping vehicles with an emergency call device (ERA- GLONASS) until August 1 this year.
