Currently, AvtoVAZ produces only eight-valve 1.6 engines with 90 horsepower. Later, the gamma will be replenished with engines of the same volume, but with 16 valves – the return is 106 horsepower. Lada also has a 1.8-liter engine with 122 horsepower, but its production will resume only by the end of this year.
The eight-valve engine is currently equipped with Lada Granta. As for the Niva Travel and Legend, both SUVs are equipped with a 1.7-liter unit that develops 83 horsepower.
