Vienna (OTS/RK) The Digital Days 2023 will take place on November 20th and 21st, 2023 in the Technical Museum Vienna. This year, too, everything revolves around digital humanism – this time with a focus on its implementation. A special highlight is the presentation of the new Digital Agenda Vienna.

The Digital Days are the annual event of DigitalCity.Wien and are coordinated by UIV Urban Innovation Vienna, a company of Wien Holding, on behalf of the City of Vienna and in cooperation with the Vienna Business Agency and the Vienna Science, Research and Technology Fund (WWTF). . They bring together administration, the digital economy, science and civil society. The goal is to network the actors of Vienna’s digital location in order to develop digital solutions for the city.

Inspiring lectures, interactive workshops and the DigiStreet exhibition make digitization tangible at the Digital Days 2023 and show how the City of Vienna uses technological innovations in a targeted manner to improve the quality of life of people in Vienna. Because the Viennese way of digital humanism puts people in the limelight of digital transformation.

Digital Days 2023 focus on digital humanism in practice

During the two-day event, national and international experts will discuss the requirements for shaping digitization according to the principles of fundamental and human rights at local and European level. The city, business and science present innovative technologies, how their use supports modern administration and can strengthen Vienna as a business location. Show cases demonstrate how Viennese digital humanism is already being implemented today. They show the digital potential for a modern health and education system, for secure technologies that protect our privacy, for a modern world of work and business, and a socially and ecologically sustainable city.

Two varied days in the Vienna Technical Museum

In addition to the diverse main program, DigiStreet offers a special highlight for all age groups with over 30 exhibitors. In the interactive exhibition, the City of Vienna and its partners of DigitalCity.Wien show digital things that can be touched and bring digitization closer to a broad audience. In addition, workshops are offered for schoolchildren and free guided tours through a related exhibition in the Technical Museum in Vienna. The crowning glory is the presentation of the Hedy Lamarr Prize by the City of Vienna, which honors female researchers in Austria for their outstanding achievements in the field of information technology.

The event is coordinated by the climate and innovation agency UIV Urban Innovation Vienna. The company supports cities in general and the city of Vienna in particular in answering the most pressing urban questions of the future and accompanying metropolises on their way to becoming a climate-friendly and innovative city.
