Aviation: An Ajaccio-Geneva flight must land in Nice
An EasyJet aircraft had to interrupt its flight on Saturday due to a “suspected technical problem”. He was finally able to take off once more for the end of the lake.
An EasyJet plane, which left Ajaccio (F) to reach Geneva, had to make an unexpected stop at Nice airport on the pilot’s decision on Saturday morning. Flight EZS 1306 took off at 7:50 a.m. from Corsica and was due to land at the end of the lake at 8:50 a.m.
Contacted, the low-cost company indicates that the flight was diverted to Nice “as a precautionary measure due to a suspected technical problem.” The aircraft, with 143 passengers on board, landed “safely and was greeted by emergency services as a routine and precautionary measure. The flight has since continued to Geneva.
Leaving Nice at 11:10 a.m., the Airbus A319 finally arrived in Cointrin at 11:48 a.m., according to the Geneva airport website. “We would like to apologize to all passengers for the inconvenience caused,” added the airline. The safety of its passengers and crew is EasyJet’s top priority.”
