Aveyron Music and Theater Conservatory’s Baroque Concert: The Elements and the Power of Tenderness

2023-06-02 03:15:00

An original concert full of emotions is offered by the Aveyron Music and Theater Conservatory at the Espace André-Jarlan. This program is built around the masterful and excessively modern baroque play “The Elements”, written in 1737 by Jean‐Féry Rebel, which describes the big bang and the emergence from the chaos of the four elements: water, earth, fire and air.

Why the 5th element tenderness? In reference to Luc Besson’s film where love saves humanity, tenderness will be declined by the choirs which interpret songs from all periods and from all origins: the children’s choir from the Montbazens and Villefranche-de-Rouergue branches, musical direction by Joseph Malherbe; the adult choir from the Rignac branch and the Baroque Music Ensemble, musical direction by Anne Maugard; Natacha Trotzky and France Launay on the harpsichord; Gabriella Buia and Christian Clavére on the violin.

This concert is offered in partnership with the community of communes of Pays rignacois and with the support of the commune of Rignac. See you this Saturday, June 3, at 6 p.m., at the Espace André-Jarlan.
