Average daily wage of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies is 101,116 won… 2.8% increase from the previous year

In the second half of this year, it was found that the average daily wage of domestic small and medium-sized manufacturers was 101,000 units.

According to the results of the ‘Wage Survey by Occupation in Small and Medium Manufacturing in the Second Half of 2022 (as of August)’ announced by the Small and Medium Business Federation on the 27th, the average daily wage for 129 small and medium manufacturing production jobs was 101,116 won, up 2.8% from the same period last year. This is a 0.4% increase from the first half of this year (100,697 won).

Daily wage is the sum of basic wage and ordinary allowance divided by working hours and multiplied by 8 hours per day, which is used as basic data for calculating labor costs when contracting with the state.

The surveyed wage for parts assemblers by major job category was 88,920 won, up 0.6% from the first half of this year. The wages of simple labor workers rose 0.4% to 84,618 won, and the foremen rose 0.1 percent to 121,072 won.

The occupation with the highest daily wage was 146,603 won for a chemical engineering quality manager. This was followed by pattern yarn (139,706 won), electrician (137,598 won), metal material quality control (135,670 won), and electrical industrial engineer (134,143 won). On the other hand, glass cutting and cutting costs were the lowest at 74,494 won.
