Autumnal and comforting: two new songs released

UTTENDORF. The Uttendorf musician Sigy Hölzl and the singer Vicky Scharinger released two new songs, “Herbstlied” and “Mach da bitte kane Sorgn”, which are both cozy and comforting.

After decades in the music business, Sigy, who gained notoriety with the Enderbyrds and Austrian Kryner and performed in Thailand and Southeast Asia for 30 years, presents his latest works. “While out there the wind sings his autumn songs” – as the chorus says – he sings his latest Austro-Pop ballads together with Vicky, which were released on CD. “Herbstlied came regarding when I wanted to paint an autumn mood with a poem,” explains Sigy. “I wanted to formulate sentences that are like a picture.”

The poem then sat in a drawer for a long time. Later the musician added a melody. The result: colorful autumn leaves, crispy apples roasted in the fireplace, cuddles in frosty weather and a lot of coziness appear in the song.

The second song was written following the death of his wife. “Three days following her death, I suddenly had the chorus in my head during the night,” reports the musician. “I see the song as a message from her that tells me: Don’t worry, I’m fine. For me, the song is also regarding finding consolation for someone who has also experienced such a loss,” says Sigy. The 69-year-old singer and guitarist, who is celebrating his 60th stage anniversary this year, does not want to stop making music for a long time. “For me, music is one of the most important things there is.”

The CD was published by Edgar Pelz and the Amaz Music Factory. The songs can be found on all major music portals. The CD costs 13 euros.
