(Alliance News) – Autostrade Meridionali Spa on Monday announced a loss of 852,000 euros in the first half, compared to a profit of 15.9 million euros for the same period in 2022.
The company specifies that the results as of June 30 “are not comparable with the corresponding results as of June 30, 2022 given the fact that in the first quarter of 2022 Autostrade Meridionali was still operating the A3 Naples-Pompei-Salerno, a concession of which a new concessionaire took control from April 1, 2022.”
Therefore, “the operations recorded during the first half of the year are solely attributable to the management activities relating to the definition and payment of debts and the collection of residual receivables, deriving from the previous management of the motorway section, including the adjustments of elements relating to tolls and activities subcontracted in previous years”.
Turnover for the first half amounted to 342,000 euros, compared to 33.8 million euros for the same period of the previous year.
Ebitda was negative at €1.2 million, while it was positive at €22.8 million.
Ebit was negative by €1.3 million, while it was positive by €24 million in the first half of 2022.
As of June 30, the total net financial position was €52.2 million, compared to €77.7 million as of December 31, 2022. This decrease is mainly due to dividends paid to shareholders in the first half of 2023, which amounted to more than €15.3 million.
Autostrade Meridionali’s share price closed Monday in the red by 0.8% at 12.15 euros per share.
