VWCO is at the Agrishow, which will take place from the 1st to the 5th of May in the city of Ribeirão Preto (SP) with the autonomous VW Constellation

With an investment of more than R$ 1 billion in agribusiness in recent years, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus has just renewed its portfolio and presents at Agrishow the most complete offer of solutions to meet the record harvests forecast for national production. Tailor-made for Brazil and with operation in the field among its priorities, the result is the largest line of products aimed at the segment in the whole country, ranging from light commercial models to extra-heavy vehicles, being the only one with a truck with 4×4 traction; presents the autonomous VW Constellation at the fair.

Volkswagen Caminhões focuses on agribusiness with new portfolio

“As one of the main sectors of the Brazilian economy, agribusiness is the focus of investments by Volkswagen Caminhões and this strategy is already yielding positive results. Today, the segment represents a relevant share of our sales, with a portfolio that guarantees the best operating cost for this market. The achievements, however, only lead us to innovate even more and the new generation of Volkswagen trucks arrives to strengthen our offer with greater efficiency, comfort, safety and technology”, says Ricardo Alouche, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Services.

Among the automaker’s novelties in this edition of Agrishow is the first autonomous truck of the VW brand. The company has just delivered the first 20 units of the VW Constellation 31.280 8×4 with this technology to Vamos and the vehicles will soon be available for lease to agribusiness. The benefit is in the system that identifies its position and follows the pre-programmed route, with an accuracy of 2.5 cm and with minimal variations, impossible to achieve in human driving.

From light to extra heavy for agribusiness

The great highlight of VWCO is its generation of trucks that debut this year and go beyond what is required by current legislation, with significant evolutions for greater efficiency, comfort, safety and technology. The automaker launched, for example, the Constellation Off-Road line, which will be represented by models 33,480 and 32,380. Both equipped with 6×4 traction, they have new advantages tailored for the application: automated transmission as standard, metal bumper with headlight protection, multifunctional steering wheel and driver’s seat with integrated seat belt covered in synthetic leather.

The largest Volkswagens in the world will also be present at the fair and serve an important application in agribusiness, with road transportation of production in the field. Who will be on display at Agrishow to demonstrate its strength is the VW Meteor 29.530. Its power train provides high performance, with excellent fuel economy, low maintenance cost and durability for the most severe applications.

Representing the largest family of trucks on the market, the VW Constellation 25.480 6×2 completes the exhibition. An extra-heavy vehicle tailored for medium and long distances and brings robustness in essence. More efficient, connected and with active safety as standard, it hits the market with the new Prime package: multifunctional steering wheel, driver’s seat with differentiated comfort and instrument panel with features with greater on-board intelligence, all standard.

The automaker will offer special conditions for its maintenance plans and overhauls at the fair

The VW Delivery 11.180, the best-selling medium truck in the Brazilian market, stands out with the highest load capacity in its segment, now with a PBT of 10,800 kg. And to bring even more safety to drivers, VWCO adds the ramp start assistant and stability and traction control as standard items.

Its 4×4 version is exclusive to VW in the Brazilian market, being the only one with this configuration in the category and will be available at the automaker’s stand for test-drive. With larger entry and exit angles, the vehicle features blocking between the axles for more efficiency in rough and low-grip terrain, with a configuration that makes it ideal for mixed applications involving off-road operation.

“We have the main models focused on agribusiness at Agrishow. However, we have an even broader portfolio and our specialty is tailor-made service, customizing vehicles to the real needs of each client. And this is not restricted to products, but also involves our services”, adds the vice president.

Thinking regarding the customer’s complete experience with the brand, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus will offer at Agrishow special conditions for its maintenance plans and overhauls. The automaker offers a 40% discount for Volks|Care plans or revisions with free oil and filter changes for two years for customers who guarantee their VW truck at the fair.
