In recognition of the social work carried out by the graduates of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMex) in the area of medicine, the 15th edition of the Doctor’s Day Athletic Race was held, organized by the Faculty of Medicine , in which Luis Iván Sevilla Romero and Neri Flores Soto, respectively, were the winners of the men’s and women’s divisions.
Representing the rector, Carlos Eduardo Barrera Díaz, the Secretary of Administration, Eréndira Fierro Moreno highlighted that at the national level the Maximum House of Studies in Mexico is located with “a renowned medical tradition”, with prestigious doctors who have distinguished themselves by their contributions.
Accompanied by the Secretary of the Rectory, Marco Aurelio Cienfuegos Terrón; the director of the Faculty of Medicine, Hugo Mendieta Zerón; union representatives, the Social Security Institute of the State of Mexico and Municipalities (ISSEMYM), the Secretary of Health and the City Council of Toluca, Secretary Fierro Moreno congratulated doctors “for their invaluable participation in improving individual and family health And social”.
In the men’s five-kilometer athletic race, the winners were Luis Iván Sevilla Romero (00:17:53), Omar García Zepeda (00:18:19) and Daniel Monroy Millán (00:20:03). Meanwhile, the women’s branch was conquered by Neri Flores Soto (00:22:52), Diana Marcela López Romero (00:25:25) and Sonia Carolina Alarcón Palma (00:26:37).
In the male branch affiliated personnel category, Jesus Gerardo Santana Rivera (00:19:19), Kenneth Carrillo Zoes (00:19:29) and Samuel Cureño Estrella (00:19:53) climbed to the podium. In the women’s category, Amairani Aline Huerta Andrade (00:24:31), Aurora Leon Hernandez (00:24:46) and Paloma Valeria Bobadilla Montes de Oca (00:25:27) stood out.
Finally, in the male and female students category, the results favored Santiago Urbina Durán (00:17:30), Gerson Gabriel Contreras Chávez (00:18:37) and Saúl Pacheco Milona (00:19:23); while, the women’s branch went to Michelle Mejía Arreola (00:22:57), Sara Paulina Bautista Arriaga (00:23:54) and Mary José Velarde Contreras, (00:24:19).
Both the run and the walk recorded a white balance.
