In Shenzhen, in Huawei’s flagship store that looks like an Apple Store, the AITO M5 sits proudly at the entrance. It must be said that from 260,000 yuan per unit, or “only” 33,000 euros, the SUV has something to seduce. 100% electric, the car (also available as a hybrid) goes from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds, can drive for 620 kilometers on a single charge and offers a level 2 degree of autonomy. But its real particularity is elsewhere. Launched at the end of 2022, the AITO M5 and AITO M7 are among the first cars co-designed… by Huawei.

The two cars are the result of a partnership between the Chinese telecom champion best known for its antennas, smartphones and PCs, and Seres, a local car manufacturer.
