Authorities maintain the environmental contingency this Friday in the ZMVM

The Megalopolis Environmental Commission (Came) reported this Friday in its 10:00 a.m. report that Phase I of the atmospheric environmental contingency due to ozone continues in the ZMVM, in order to protect the health of the population from exposure to high levels of contamination.

“For today, the Mexico City Atmospheric Monitoring System indicates that the high pressure system still persists in the center of the country, generating atmospheric stability, clear to partly cloudy skies and light wind. This combination of factors, together with the intense solar radiation, will continue to favor the formation and accumulation of ozone most of the day, which is why the concentrations of the contaminant will remain high, causing air quality from Bad to Very Bad”, indicated the dependence.

the bed asked the population stay informed about air quality and avoid exercising outdoors between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

“The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis will be attentive to the quality of the air and the evolution of the prevailing meteorological conditions in the ZMVM and will inform in a bulletin that will be issued today at 15:00 hours“, he added.
