The General Prosecutor of the Nation investigates whether the death of a three-month-old baby in Valledupar It is related to an alleged case of domestic violence.
The minor passed away on Monday night, following being admitted to the hospital Rosario Pumarejo de Lopez during three days. The boy’s mother took him to that care center on the night of January 21 because he was suffering from cardiorespiratory arrest.
The doctors who treated him found possible signs of abuse in the minor’s body, for which the possibility of an alleged case of violence in his home was raised, as confirmed by Colonel Luis León, commander of the Cesar Police.
“They did some tests and a tomography on his head and there was evidence of a kind of fracture and some bruises in different parts of the body, that’s what the doctor on duty said,” said Colonel León.
