This Thursday the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) captured a woman for being the alleged WhatsApp scammer who operated under the modality of “Hi I am Ana”.
The information was released by the director of the CICPC, Douglas Rico through his account on the social network Instagram. From there, the official indicated that the woman was identified as Yanelbis De La Cruz Cásquez Montilla, 23 years old. In that sense, she is accused of cheating with the purchase of some foreign currency.

The scammer contacted her victims through the WhatsApp platform under the form of «Hi I am Ana«. He apparently wrote offering the sale of foreign currency and when the interested parties responded he sent them a bank account and when he received the money, he disappeared.
The investigations that led to the capture of the woman were carried out by the Coordination of Crimes Against Property of the Tocuyito Municipal Delegation. According to Rico, the alleged scammer “She would have seized 3,500 dollars for the day she was arrested. This in conjunction with other people yet to be identified and arrested”. Likewise, as evidence, a model cell phone was seized. Samsung J2 Corewhich according to the investigations was used for illicit transactions.
