Author Walter Kappacher dies on the age of 85

The Müry Salzmann publishing home confirmed a corresponding report within the “Salzburger Nachrichten” (on-line version) to the APA. Kappacher, who labored as a contract creator from the age of 40, was awarded the Georg Büchner Prize in 2009.

Kappacher was born on October 24, 1938 within the metropolis of Salzburg. In 1967, he revealed his first brief tales within the “Stuttgarter Zeitung”. Eight years later, his guide “Morgen” was revealed. Later, the novels “Rosina”, “Silberpfeile” and “Selina oder das andere Leben” adopted, in addition to the publication of the tales “Die irdische Liebe” and “Wer erste lacht”.

In 2006 he obtained the Salzburg State Artwork Prize for Literature “for his constant and steady creative work in addition to for his common providers to the Salzburg literary scene”.
