In the first quarter of 2023, Austrian Airlines posted a minus in earnings (EBIT) of 73 million euros. The year before, the loss was still 110 million euros. There was a strong increase in sales from 201 to 400 million euros. The number of employees increased from 5,611 to 5,766, the Lufthansa subsidiary announced. Compared to the “Omikron Quarter 2022” there was a doubling of passenger numbers.
